'White Substances' Mailed To Kellyanne Conway's Bergen Home, FBI Confirms

Conway said in an interview that she was the target of the mailing because of the media's coverage of her and her boss, President Trump.

Secret Service agents have been assigned to protect Kellyanne Conway since she was mailed "white substances" and a "suspicious letter" to her Alpine home Sunday.

Mike Whitaker, an FBI spokesman, said Wednesday that FBI responded to a suspicious letter in Alpine. There is no threat to public safety, Whitaker said.

"We encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement," Whitaker said.

Conway said Monday during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News that she was the target of the mailing because of the media's coverage of her and her boss, President Donald Trump.

Conway, a married mother of four, told Hannity she had packages delivered to her house with "white substances." She was recently appointed counselor to the president.
