Woman Charged With Stealing From Mahwah Gym
Jill Margulies, 48, was charged in connection with numerous thefts from a New York Sports Club.

MAHWAH, NJ - A Midland Park woman was charged with burglary and theft after she allegedly stole money and credit cards from lockers at a borough gym, police said.
Jill Margulies, 48, was charged after police investigated numerous reports of money and credit cards being stolen from the New York Sports Club on Edison Road, said Chief James Batelli.
Officer Chris Fasulo initaly investigated the thefts. Detective Sgt Kevin Hebert, Detective Michael Grassi, and Fasulo developed a timeline of the thefts.

Police surveilled the facility and set up a sting operation, Batelli said. Margulies was pulled over by police, who found several items from the club in the car, along with clothes she told police were shoplifted from Ramsey, Paramus, Midland Park, and Woodcliff Lake, police said.
Police also found various gift cards in Margulies’ possession. She would steal items and then return them, having the money placed on the gift cards, Batelli said.

Margulies was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and released on her own recognizance.
