Woman Faces 20-Year Jail Sentence For Defrauding Bergen Watch Company
Lissette Delarose, 37, of Woodland Park, conspired with another woman for years to steal 'hundreds of thousands of dollars,' officials said.

A former employee of a Paramus watch manufacturer admitted Monday defrauding the company of hundreds of thousands of dollars of watches and watch parts, said U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman.
Lissette Delarose, 37, of Woodland Park, pleaded guilty in Trenton federal court to wire fraud conspiracy, Fishman said.
Delarose admitted that for more than seven years, from May 2003 to July 2010, she and Cynthia Alvarez, of Kissimmee, Floria, used their positions in the company’s customer service department to fraudulently obtain merchandise.

The women created hundreds of fake invoices, records, and customer complaints for watches, parts, repair invoices, and customer service complaints and directed the merchandise to be sent to addresses they controlled, authorities said.
The company received no payments for the watches and parts.

The charge carries with it a potential penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or twice the amount of loss caused by the offense. Delarose’s sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 16.
Alvarez pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy Sept. 8. She is awaiting sentencing.
