MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from March 2 to 8.
On Monday, March 7, at approximately 6:42 a.m., employees of a Park Avenue business reported that a catalytic converter, valued at approximately $1,000.00, had been removed from a vehicle sometime between Friday, March 4, and Monday, March 7. Patrolman Matthew Mattia handled the report.
On Sunday, March 5, at approximately 3:52 p.m., employees of the Wegman’s Supermarket, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a female suspect exited the store without paying for $588.68 worth of merchandise. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report, which is pending the signing of complaints.

On Saturday, March 5, at approximately 1:08 p.m., a 20-year-old Manalapan resident reported a fire located inside the garage of a Blue Jay Court residence. The Gordons Corner Fire Department as well as the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad responded. The fire, which appeared to be accidental, was subsequently extinguished and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office also responded. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the incident.
On Friday, March 4, at approximately 6:31 p.m., a 26-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor hacked into a social media account and requested that money be transferred via a transaction website in the amount of $92.91. Patrolman Zike handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Friday, March 4, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a 56-year-old Howell resident reported that between 2:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m., an unknown actor smashed the window of a vehicle that was parked on Hedgerow Lane and removed $50.00 from a purse. Patrolman Kyle Earley handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Thursday, March 3, at 8:22 p.m., a 33-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by unknown actors via social media. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.
On Thursday, March 3, at 1:35 a.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Paul M. Parise, a 42-year-old, divorced, male resident of Manalapan Township, who is employed as a driver, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the South Plainfield Municipal Court in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Parisi was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman James Guarino handled the arrest.
On Wednesday, March 2, at 11:53 a.m., employees of the Lafayette Mills School, located at 66 Maxwell Lane, reported that an unknown male subject cracked a window valued at $350.00 to $400.00. Patrolman Jeff Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Wednesday, March 2, at 9:21 a.m., a 35-year-old Marlboro resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported fraudulent activity on a bank account which resulted in a loss of $15,801.16. Patrolman Matt Porricelli handled the report.
On Wednesday, March 2, at 6:18 a.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Woodward Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Taquan M. Langley, a 40-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Newark, NJ, who is employed as a roofer, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Newark Municipal Court with no bail amount set. Mr. Langley was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently turned over to the Newark Police Department. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
