2 Homes Burglarized in Manalapan on Dec. 20

One of the homes burglarized is on Gramercy Lane, and the other is on Grandview Lane. Also, someone damaged a Christmas decoration.

MANALAPAN, NJ - Two different homes in Manalapan Township were broken into last Tuesday, Dec. 20, police said. One of the homes burglarized is on Gramercy Lane, and the other is on Grandview Lane. Both break-ins occurred after 6 p.m. while the residents were not home, but police did not say whether the two incidents are connected.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. last Tuesday, a 67-year-old Gramercy Lane resident called police to report that someone had broken into their home while they were not not there. The proceeds of the burglary are unknown and the incident is believed to have taken place some time after 6:15 p.m. that day. Patrolman Kyle Earley took the report and Detective Kenneth Mikulik is conducting the investigation.

That same night, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 52-year-old Grandview Lane resident said someone forced their way into their home as well, while the residents were not home. The proceeds of the burglary are not yet known. Patrolman William Dutton took the report.
