2 Injured In Serious Car Crash In Monroe Tuesday Afternoon
Two people were seriously injured in a crash on Mount Mills Rd. in Monroe, and a man was hit and killed by a car in Colts Neck, also Tuesday

MONROE, NJ — Two people were seriously injured in a car crash on Mount Mills Road in Monroe Township Tuesday morning, according to local police.
The crash occurred at 11:43 a.m.: A car was traveling on Mounts Mill Road, near Englishtown Road, when the vehicle crossed a double yellow line and struck another vehicle, according to Monroe police and the Middlesex County prosecutor.
One driver was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the other driver was taken by ambulance; both are considered to be in serious condition.

In an unrelated incident, a man was killed also Tuesday when he was hit by a car in nearby Colts Neck: That incident happened at 2:50 p.m. at a property on 140 Crine Rd. in Colts Neck, police said. Robert Owenburg, 67, was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. He is a Freehold Twp. resident.
