String Of Car Burglaries In Monmouth County Lead To 2 Arrests
The New Jersey State Police have arrested Michael Guzman, 38, and David Voight, 27, both of Manalapan.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Two Manalapan men were arrested and charged in connection with a string of car burglaries in Monmouth County, New Jersey State Police announced on Tuesday.
Michael Guzman, 38, and David Voight, 27, both of Manalapan, were charged with burglary and theft, police said. They are both currently at the Monmouth County Jail awaiting their initial court appearance.
In April, troopers from Troop "C" Hamilton Station began investigating a series of car burglaries in Millstone Township and Upper Freehold Township. Police discovered that 20 vehicles in the area had been broken into and various items were stolen.

Troopers obtained surveillance footage from a residence that captured two men burglarizing several vehicles while investigating these crimes. Troopers later identified Guzman and Voight as the two suspects.
Guzman and Voight were apprehended in their Manalapan home on April 27 by detectives from Hamilton Station and members of the State Police Fugitive Unit, according to police.

A search warrant was executed at the residence and Voight's vehicle as part of the ongoing investigation. As a result, detectives recovered numerous items related to the burglaries, which will be returned to the victims in this case.
