2 More Car Break-Ins in Manalapan

Lock your car doors, Manalapan police say, even if the vehicle is just parked in your driveway.

Manalapan, NJ - Lock your car doors, township police say, even if the vehicle is simply parked in your driveway. Two more break-ins of unlocked cars have been reported: (This comes after someone went into a woman’s unlocked car on Dec. 29 and stole the GPS unit.)

Last Tuesday, Jan. 5, a Lauren Court resident told police someone went into his car overnight while it sat, unlocked, in his driveway. A Visa gift card was removed, as well as several business cards.

Earlier that same day, a Joseph Street resident called police to report that someone went into his car overnight and took two pocket knives from the car. Similarly, the vehicle was parked, unlocked, in his driveway.

A car parked unlocked at a home on Overlook Way had a GPS unit taken from the glove compartment on Dec. 29, police said.
