2015 Poster Contest entitled "Heroes Making Good Choices".
Manalapan-Englishtown Community Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse announces the winners of the 2015 poster contest.

MANALAPAN – The Manalapan-Englishtown Community Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is pleased to announce the results of its 2015 Poster Contest entitled “Heroes Making Good Choices”. 201 students from 6th, 7th and 8th grades in the Manalapan Englishtown Regional School District participated in the contest. The artists covered a broad range of topics and subjects while incorporating Superheroes in their art in conveying a message of making good choices about using drugs and alcohol. The posters were judged by a panel of Alliance members.
The winning entries were as follows:

Grand Prize: James D’Andrea
The following students artwork was recognized as Honorable Mentions: Jenna Weiss, Eliz Slimin, Michael Cipriano, Emily Savage, Samantha Cirlincione, Sarah Magrini and Lauren Terr.
The winners, honorable mentions and all contest participants will be recognized at an upcoming Township Committee meeting. The 1st Place winners in each grade will receive a $50.00 cash award and the Grand Prize winner will receive a $100.00 cash award from the Alliance.
Mayor Jack McNaboe offered the following comments, “The posters that were submitted were great. I am so amazed at the artistic talent in young people. These students took a hard subject – prevention of drug and alcohol abuse – used a Superhero or two and created very powerful messages. Really amazing. Finally, I want to thank all of the participants and the Alliance and I and my fellow Township Committee members look forward to future competitions.”
The winning and recognized posters will be on display in Town Hall during the month of January and February.
