On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at approximately 12:49 p.m., the staff at Luxury Labels Consignment Store, located at 335 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that an unknown actor had shoplifted $4,800.00 worth of merchandise at 12:33 p.m. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at approximately 5:57 p.m., a 74-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor attempted to enter a San Fratello Court residence by prying open a window screen. No entry was made to the residence. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the initial responding officer and this incident is currently under investigation by the Manalapan Township Police Department Detective Bureau.

On Monday, February 8, 2021, at approximately 10:01 a.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) have been contacting the victim in an attempt to obtain personal information. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.

On Sunday, February 7, 2021 at approximately 3:14 p.m., a 63-year-old, Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor opened a credit card in the victim’s name. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the initial investigation.

On Friday, February 5, 2021 at approximately 1:21 p.m., a heavy set white or Hispanic male, approximately 20 years of age, 5’8” in height, made a purchase at a business located on Route 9 utilizing a counterfeit $100.00 bill and received cash back. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is currently under investigation.

On Thursday, February 4, 2021 at approximately 4:47 p.m., a 25-year-old Manalapan resident reported that female Los Angeles resident, unknown age,

committed a fraud in the amount of $2,195.00 regarding the purchase of sandals. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the initial report.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at approximately 5:18 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Wemrock Road in the area of Rt. 522 for a suspected hit and run and motor vehicle violations that occurred in Manalapan Township. The operator of the vehicle, Valerie Santangelo, an unmarried, 47-year-old female resident of Freehold Township, who is employed as an x-ray technician, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Ms. Santangelo was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 10:18 a.m., a 78-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to report that an unknown actor(s) had altered and cashed a check in the amount of $6,700.00. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is currently under investigation.
