MANALAPAN, NJ — The roof of a local home was damaged following a fire that broke out early Monday morning.
At 3:02 am. on Monday, the East Freehold Fire Company was dispatched to a home in Manalapan Township for a house fire.
Upon arrival, the crew was assigned to assist with fire suppression operations, conducting an interior attack in the back of the home.
East Freehold firefighters worked alongside Manalapan Township firefighters and other mutual aid companies to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office.
"We thank all of the firefighters and emergency personnel who responded and worked together throughout the early-morning incident," the fire company said in an online post.
