Harassment, Fraud, Simple Assault: Manalapan Police Blotter

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of harassment, fraud, simple assault and more from Sept. 16 through Sept. 22.

Sept. 16

At 3:16 p.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan in reference to an incident of fraud.

Upon arrival, the victims were identified as an 88-year-old and an 85-year-old, both Manalapan residents.

It was determined that unknown actor(s) had used the victims' personal information to fraudulently open and use various credit cards. The money was later refunded, and the victims are not out any money at this time.

Sept. 18

In August 2026, unknown actor(s) opened two online accounts in the victim's (a 63-year-old Manalapan resident) name. The victim is not at a monetary loss at this time.

At 11:46 p.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan in reference to a disorderly person. Upon arrival, patrols found an individual who was intoxicated, was yelling, and was disturbing
the peace. The individual was arrested and brought to the Manalapan Township Police Department for processing. He was later released pending a future court date to appear.

Sept. 21

It was reported that unknown actor(s) had deceived a 57-year-old Manalapan resident into sending a large amount of money. The transfer was denied by the victim's bank, which incurred no monetary loss.

A 52- year-old Manalapan resident reported that their neighbor has been harassing them via phone, specifically by calling approximately 40 times in one day and sending several text messages.

Sept. 22

A 30- year-old Manalapan resident reported receiving harassing messages from an unknown subject on a social media platform.

A 22-year-old Old Bridge resident reported that during the course of a verbal altercation that occurred on Sept. 7 in Manalapan, an unknown male subject grabbed their arm. The incident is pending further investigation.
