Theft, Credit Card Fraud, Harassment: Manalapan Police Blotter

Manalapan Police reported two incidents of credit card fraud from Sept. 23 through Sept. 29.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of theft, credit card fraud, harassment and more from Sept. 23 through Sept. 29.

A 50-year-old Manalapan resident reported an attempt to fraudulently charge approximately $3,500 in purchases on their credit card.

Sept. 25

A 77-year-old Manalapan resident reported that, over the course of the last six years, they were deceived by someone on social media and persuaded to send them approximately $360,000.

Sept. 27

A 56-year-old Manalapan resident reported multiple fraudulent charges on their credit card. The victim is at no monetary loss at this time.

Sept. 28

A 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they received an explicit text message from an unknown subject several days prior.
