Free concerts at the Monmouth County Library in June? This joint is jumping!
Come hear legendary Jersey Shore musicians at two Library venues. Brian Kirk and the Jirks will play Library Headquarters in Manalapan at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 12.

And at the Wall Township Library on Thursday, June 9, Jimmy and Jimmy Jr. of Jimmy and the Parrotheads – one of the most requested Jimmy Buffet cover bands – will help everyone get into that summertime mood. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
But it's not just all wasting away in Margaritaville! Jimmy and Jimmy Jr.'s cover songs also include favorites by the Beach Boys, Paul Simon, Jerry Jeff Walker, Harry Belafonte, and Bob Marley, among many others.
Looking for something a bit more classical? Howell Township Library is hosting Opera at the Library at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 4, featuring Tenor Michael Anderson, Soprano Bethany Richards and John Balme, accompanist.
Anderson and Richards will perform operatic arias and classical songs from the baroque era through the 20th century. The program will include musical compositions from Verdi, Handel, Donizetti, Schubert, Vaughan-Williams and others.
Also at Wall Township Library, Fred Lehotay and “The Ragtimers Band” will perform on Monday, June 20 at 7 p.m.
The Ragtimers are original members of the Ocean County String Band, and include Gary Nokes on bass, Bob Estler on guitar, Tom Rittenhouse on banjo and band director Fred Lehotay on saxophone. All four band members will play and sing all the old time sentimental melodies and rousing ragtime favorites.
