The first day back to school for students in Manalapan-Englishtown is Tuesday, Sept. 6. Check out some important dates for the school year.
ENGLISHTOWN, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway in the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District, with the school calendar available to help parents and students prepare for the new school year.
Students return Tuesday, Sept. 6. The school district, with offices in Englishtown, has approximately 4,649 students in eight schools in pre-K through eighth grade. Manalapan High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District.
Here are some important dates for the upcoming school year:

- First day of school: Sept. 6
- Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25 (with a four-hour day Nov. 23)
- Winter recess: Dec. 23 is a four-hour day; schools reopen Jan. 3, 2023
- Spring recess: April 5 is a four-hour day; schools reopen April 17, 2023
- End of year: June 22 and 23, 2023 are four-hour students days.
The calendar has three days built in for inclement weather and other emergencies, the district says.
