The Eyes Have It!

Cleopatra knew it: The secret to beauty is in the eyes. Not those of the beholder, but yours.

Research shows that as far back as 3,000 B.C., the women of Egypt were enhancing their eyelashes and lining their eyes. The goal then was the same as it is now: To make the eyes appear larger, wider and brighter - which creates a more alert and youthful look.

But how do you go about doing that?  Does a smokey eye work for you or is your coloring and eye shape more suited to a softer eye.  What colors make your eyes appear brighter and enhance your natural coloring?  Should you use liquid, gel or pencil to line your eyes and should you go all the way around or just do the outer corners?  The answer to these questions are as individual as you are.  Brown does not look great on everyone.  Some women look much better in grey's and navy's than they do in black or browns.

I especially encourage Realtors to update their business cards.  If your picture looks dated and your makeup is not picture perfect your cards are working against you instead of for you. People do judge you by the picture on your cards - make sure yours is wonderful, that you look like someone who is put together and successful - who wants to do business with a schlub?
