Braves vs. Rebels Football Game to Air on MSG Varsity

Can't make the Varsity Football game this Friday night at Howell High School? No problem! Watch the Braves take on the Rebels on television on Cablevision iO's MSG Varsity on Monday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.

The Braves have a record of 4-1 this season and are currently ranked 38th in the state, according to maxpreps.com. The Rebels currently hold a 3-3 record so far this year and are ranked 192nd in New Jersey, according to maxpreps.com.

Both teams are averaging around 28 points per game, but Manalapan trumps the Rebels with a total of 219 rushing yards per game this season while Howell only has 45.2.

On the other hand, Howell dominates Manalapan in passing yards with the Rebels averaging 324 passing yards per game and the Braves averaging 109.6 passing yards per game, according to the statistics on maxpreps.com.

The passing yards comes from Howell senior Ryan Davies who alone is accumulating 321 passing yards per game. And the majority of the rushing yards on the Braves come from senior John Sieczkowski who is averaging around 109 rushing yards a game. Sieczkowski is also averaging 6 points per game.

The Rebels must win this game if they wish to make it into the Central Jersey Group IV Tournament. If the Braves win this game they will get the A North title.
