Car Broken Into At Manalapan Rec Center
Lock your car doors and hide valuables: A Coach pocketbook was taken out of a car on Memorial Day at the rec center.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Lock your car doors and don't leave valuables in plain sight if you visit the Manalapan Recreation Center, police warn: On Memorial Day, a car parked in the parking lot was broken into and a woman's purse was stolen police said.
The couple, from Ocean Township, told police that sometime before 6 p.m. Monday, May 29 an unknown actor or actors forced entry into their vehicle while it was parked at the rec center on Rt. 522. A brown Coach pocketbook and its contents were removed from the vehicle. The purse and its contents were valued at $1,295, police said.
Later that same night, someone said their car was broken into while it was parked in the driveway of a Taylors Mills Road home. The break-in happened around 11:20 p.m. and the victim said the suspect fled the area on foot towards Marlboro. No items were reported missing from the vehicle.
