Car Fire Stops Traffic on Route 9 in Freehold

East Freehold Fire Company responded to the scene.

A car fire stopped traffic on Route 9 North in Freehold near the Juniper Business Plaza at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Firefighters from the East Freehold Fire Company responded to the scene.

Freehold resident, firefighter, and photographer Craig Haas captured these photos of the scene.

According to Haas, Adelphia Fire Chief Jason Howlett came upon the scene and advised the county dispatch of the car fire. No injuries were reported. Traffic was affected for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, Haas said.
