With Car Theft On The Rise In NJ, Manalapan Police Urge Caution
The Manalapan Police Department wants to remind residents to lock their vehicle doors and to never leave keys inside the parked vehicle.
MANALAPAN, NJ — As vehicle burglaries continue to occur in Monmouth County, the Manalapan police want to urge citizens to lock their homes and vehicles.
On Tuesday, Mar. 1, a 47-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their 2017 Lexus was stolen from the driveway of their Rockingham Court residence during the night. According to police, it was later reported that the vehicle’s keys were in the car at the time of the theft.
The incident is still under official investigation by the Manalapan Police Department.

Deputy Chief Leonard Maltese said, "Residents are reminded to remove any valuables from unoccupied vehicles and remember to lock your vehicle’s doors and do not leave key fobs in vehicles!"
