2 Car Thefts And An Attempt In Manalapan On Single Day, Police Say

Two car thefts and another attempt are cited by officials

MANALAPAN. N.J. — Township police reported on several crimes involving car theft or attempted car theft, all on May 3. According to a police statement:

  • At approximately 8:01 a.m. on May 3, a 54-year-old Manalapan resident reported an unknown actor(s) stole an unlocked vehicle that had the key fob inside, valued at approximately $40,000.00, while it was parked at a Hidden Pond Court residence. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
  • At approximately 10:11 a.m. on May 3, a 41-year-old Manalapan resident reported an unknown actor(s) stole a vehicle, valued at approximately $140,000.00, while it was parked at an Equinox Lane residence. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
  • At approximately 10:59 a.m. on May 3, a 46-year-old Manalapan resident reported that during the overnight hours, an unknown actor(s) attempted to steal a motor vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Briar Hill Drive residence. The actor subsequently fled the scene. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
