Changes Coming If You Take the 139 Bus Into New York City

Manalapan, NJ - Attention, commuters, if you take the NJ Transit 139 bus into New York City:

NJ Transit is reshuffling gate assignments at the Port Authority Bus Terminal beginning Sept. 3 as part of a plan to improve the quality of riders' commutes. Twelve bus routes will have new departure gate assignments, especially during afternoon peak riding hours. The adjustments are designed to reduce waiting times and shorten lines at the terminal. The 139 bus runs from New York City to Lakewood, making stops in Freehold, Manalapan Township and Marlboro Township along the way.
