Curbside Painting Scam in Manalapan

Manalapan, NJ - Manalapan police are warning residents of a curbside painting scam going on now in the Township where residents are asked to pay $15 to have their house number painted on the curb. Have you witnessed this?

“Our agency has recently been receiving reports of possible theft by deception involving curb painting,” Manalapan police posted on Facebook. “The reports consist of a letter being taped to a resident’s mailbox, requesting they pay $15.00 for their house number being painted on the curb. After leaving a check made out to ’Oliva Fitzpatrick’ taped to the front door, an unknown subject then collects the checks without painting the curb.”
