December 6-12 is"National Handwashing Awareness Week"

The goal of "National Handwashing Awareness Week" is to lower the spread of diseases by educating our community.

“National Handwashing Awareness Week” is December 6-12. It is vital to know the correct way of washing your hands to prevent the spread of disease. Make sure you are washing your hands under warm water, with soap, and rubbing your hands together for at least 20 seconds. Rinse off all the bubbles and then dry your hands with a paper towel. Use the paper towel when turning off the faucet and then throw it in the trash. For more information, visit the CDC at www.cdc.gov/cleanhands or Henry the Hand Foundation at www.henrythehand.com.
