DWI Results in 3-Car Accident on Gordon's Corner Road

A man allegedly driving drunk resulted in a three-car accident at the intersection of Gordon's Corner Road and Shilling Road.

Manalapan, NJ - A man allegedly driving drunk resulted in a three-car accident at the intersection of Gordon’s Corner Road and Shilling Road Sunday morning in Manalapan.

The accident happened at 11 a.m. Sunday. Daniel McAvoy, a 65-year-old Manalapan resident, allegedly drove through a stop sign at the intersection, police said, causing two other cars to collide. There were minor injuries in the crash.

McAvoy was operating his car under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath samples, reckless driving, failure to observe stop sign and other charges.

McAvoy was released on summonses to a family member. The case is pending court.
