Father Rescued in Millstone Fire

Boy told firefighters he couldn't find his dad, who was still inside.

Millstone, NJ - Firefighters responded to a house fire on Stillhouse Road early Sunday morning in Millstone Township, where they had to save a man from the basement.

The fire call came in at 4:30 a.m., reports the Asbury Park Press. Upon arrival, they found a “raging fire” in the home’s kitchen, writes the APP.

The found a boy outside the home, who told firefighters he did not know where his father was. Firefighters searched the house, and found the father in the basement, the fire chief told the APP.

Both father and son were taken to CentraState Medical Center; they were released later Sunday without any serious injuries.

Their house was deemed uninhabitable.
