February is "National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month"

The Manalapan Township Health Department wants all residents to talk about healthy relationships with their teens.

February is “National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.” The purpose of this month is to bring to light the issues of teen dating violence. About 9% of teens who have been on a date have also been physically abused by a boyfriend or girlfriend in the last year. It is important that we start talking to our children at an early age and educate them about healthy relationships. For more information, visit the Break the Cycle website at www.breakthecycle.org or call the Manalapan Township Health Department at (732) 446-8345.
