Five Things You Need To Know: Valentine's Day Edition

1. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. If you have a special someone in your life, today is the day you should treat them with kindness and care, despite it being a Monday. And if you don't, perhaps today the day is to spark a new romance. All in all, spread love around today. It'll make the start of the week a little easier.

4. Know of any historic buildings in Manalapan or Englishtown that you think are worthy of recognition? The Monmouth County Historical Commission is accepting nominations for its annual preservation awards program. Any structure, including office buildings, houses of worship, public buildings and homes, that is over 50 years old, has historic value, and has undergone preservation work in 2010 is eligible for the award.
