Manalapan Police reported two fraud incidents from Feb. 18 through Feb. 24.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, harassment, assault and more from Feb. 18 through Feb. 24.
Feb. 18
A 62-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they purchased a vehicle online for $47,000 in early February and that the vehicle was never delivered. The incident is pending further investigation.

Feb. 20
A 38-year-old Manalapan resident reported a loss of $6,000 when they were deceived into believing that they were receiving assistance from a representative of their bank.

At 3:10 p.m., patrols responded to a business in Manalapan in reference to a harassment report. The business reported that a known individual made harassing statements directed towards an employee, who interviewed the known person for an employment opportunity.
A verbal dispute turned physical when a 62-year-old Millstone resident was approached by a 68-year-old Manalapan resident who appeared to be intoxicated and started pushing away the caller’s phone. No injuries were reported.
Feb. 23
At 8:09 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to a residential area in Manalapan for a report of two people not wanted on the property.
These people were in the area shoveling snow and were reportedly using salt that they were not authorized to use, as well as making unruly comments toward the caller, a 52-year-old Phillipsburg resident.
Feb. 24
A 57-year-old Manalapan resident and a 44-year-old resident of South Elin, Illinois, became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, in which threats were also made.
Both people involved reported that they were assaulted by the other. The incident began when the Manalapan resident was shoveling snow and had their vehicle blocking the roadway.
