Free Advanced First Aid Class for Teens
HAMES will be conducting a free ASHI Advanced First Aid Certification Course at the Monmouth County Library for students.
The High School Association of Medical Engineers and Scientists, Inc. (HAMES) is offering students in grades 9-12 free Advanced First Aid classes by the American Safety and Health Institute. HAMES’s mission is to train and certify individuals and to prepare them for emergency situations they may encounter in their day-to-day lives. Advanced First Aid provides a much more in-depth view than Basic First Aid and provides an introduction to patient care, anatomy, principles of assessment, and covers many of the common illnesses and injuries responders are likely to encounter. Through the two-day (8 hour) course held at Monmouth County Library in Manalapan, NJ, students will receive an ASHI Certification Card in Advanced First Aid. The class will be limited to a maximum of 20 students and both classes must be attended without exception. Classes will take place on November 4th and November 18th from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm.
