Future Mad Scientists Wanted for Two Summer Camps

It's still not too late to sign up your child for a fun and educational summer camp before school officially starts! If your child is entering grades 2 through 6 this fall and loves all things science, the have the perfect summer programs; two "Mad Science" camps are being served for the science lover to devour!

The first camp is entitled "Secret Agent Lab", and is a must for the mystery fanatic. Running from Aug. 15 through Aug. 19, "Secret Agent Lab" introduces your child to forensics and detection. Students will learn code language, sift through evidence, go undercover, and decode messages from other agents in order to solve a pretend crime. The child will be able to go home after the camp with a detective kit, secret decoder, fingerprint kit, and more. 

The second camp being offered is entitled "Super Science Sampler". "Super Science Sampler" will be held from Aug. 22 through Aug. 26 and it will proffer a new scientific discovery every day stemming from the five different branches of science: physics, biology, chemistry, earth science and the science of the senses. Students will pan for gems in earth science, make silly concoctions in chemistry, study how cells work and how bugs walk on water in biology, learn Newton's Laws of Motion in physics and learn how we see, hear, and taste while learning the science of the senses.

Both "Mad Science" programs are open to residents who will be entering grades 2 through 6 this upcoming fall. A minimum of 12 participants are required to run each program, but twenty is the maximum. Each camp costs $120 per registrant. Classes will be held at Kusckick Pavilion within the from 9 a.m. to noon during the camps scheduled days.
