On Monday, January 18, 2022, at approximately 7:16 p.m., a 24-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) attempted to extort $5,000.00 from the victim via social media. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at approximately 4:42 p.m., a 77-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported a theft of license plates that is believed to have occurred between November of 2020 and December of 2021. Patrolman Jason Vigneault handled the report.

On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at approximately 4:36 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) opened a credit card in the victim’s name. The credit card was subsequently canceled and there was no monetary loss as a result of this incident. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.
On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at approximately 9:08 a.m., a 31-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported receiving harassing messages via social media from an unknown actor(s). Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report.

On Monday, January 17, 2022, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a 46-year-old Flushing, NY resident reported that an unknown actor(s) withdrew $8,000.00 from a business bank account. The victim’s accounts were subsequently closed. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Monday, January 17, 2022, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) attempted to withdraw over $1,200.00 from their bank account. The unknown actor also attempted to open an online account in the victim’s name. The victim’s accounts were subsequently closed. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Monday, January 17, 2022, at 1:56 p.m., a 73-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor wrote a counterfeit check in the amount of $3,500.00 from the victim’s checking account. The checking account was subsequently closed. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.
On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 2:25 p.m., a 23-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) utilized their debit card to complete fraudulent transactions totaling $150.00. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 6:42 a.m., a 46-year-old Marlboro Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) had burglarized a business located in the Gordons Corner Center in Manalapan. The front glass door to the business was shattered and it was reported that an unknown amount of prescription medication was taken from the business. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Saturday, January 15, 2022, at approximately 3:54 p.m., a 39-year-old Old Bridge resident reported receiving harassing messages by an unknown actor(s) via social media. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Saturday, January 15, 2022, at approximately 3:53 a.m., Patrolman James Guarino initiated a traffic stop on Union Hill Road for multiple motor vehicle violations. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Vincent Punzone, a 25-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Manalapan Township, who is employed as plumber, was found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Punzone was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
On Friday, January 14, 2022, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Patrolman Mantas Stanionis responded to Smallwood Lane residence for a report of flames and smoke coming from a chimney. The Gordons Corner Fire Company, Englishtown Fire Department, Freehold Fire Department, Marlboro Fire Department, and Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad responded and were able to extinguish the fire, which appeared to be accidental in nature. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.
On Friday, January 14, 2022, at approximately 4:10 p.m., a 47-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported being issued a check in the amount of $5,500.00, but the account had insufficient funds. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.
On Friday, January 14, 2022, at approximately 11:08 a.m., a 59-year-old Wall Township resident reported that a 49-year-old Wall Township resident fraudulently cashed a check in the amount of $7,000.00. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 3:00 a.m., Patrolman Aaron Abeles and
Patrolman Matthew Mattia took custody of Amir A. Davis, a 20-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Irvington, NJ, who is employed as a fork lift operator, regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the arresting officer.
