• Sept. 8 First Day of school
• Sept. 14-15 Rosh Hashanah - schools closed
• Sept. 23 Yom Kippur - schools closed
• Oct. 12 - Columbus Day - Schools Closed; All Staff Report – Professional Development Day
• Nov. 5, 6 – NJEA Teachers Convention - schools closed
• Nov. 26 - 27 – Thanksgiving Recess, schools closed
• Dec. 24 – Dec. 31 – Winter break, schools closed
• Jan. 1 - New Years Day - schools closed
• Jan. 18 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - schools closed
• Feb. 15 Presidents’ Day - schools closed
• March 25 - April 1 Spring Recess - schools closed
• April 22 - Passover - schools closed
• May 30 - Memorial Day - schools closed
• June 24 Last day of school

There are three snow days built into the calendar for inclement weather and other emergencies.

If the district needs to make up more than three days due to emergency closings, the calendar will be modified to make up those days on holiday/recess days.

• In the event the district needs to make up a day prior to Martin Luther Jr. Day, school will be open on Monday, January 18, 2016.
• In the event the district needs to make up days after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, schools will open on the following dates: 1) Friday, April 22, 2016 , 2) Monday, February 15, 2016.
• In the event the district needs to make up additional days they will be added to the end of the year.
