January is "National Cervical Health Awareness Month"
The Manalapan Township Health Department wants all female residents to take precautions against cervical cancer.

January is “National Cervical Health Awareness Month.” The purpose of “National Cervical Health Awareness Month” is to recognize the issues dealing with cervical cancer, including HPV disease. Approximately 12,000 women are diagnosed and about 1/3 will die as a result of cervical cancer. You should schedule a well-woman visit with your doctor every year and receive an annual Pap Smear. For more information, please visit the National Cervical Cancer Coalition website at www.nccc-online.org.
