Kids Climbing On Roofs Of Manalapan Schools, Police Report

Manalapan police are taking this seriously: Several juveniles have been arrested and the cases will go to Monmouth County Family Court.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan police are seeing several incidents where teenagers are climbing on the roofs of local schools that are closed during the summer months.

The reoccurring problem has happened two to three times this summer at the Lafayette Mills school, Capt. Thomas Barstow told Patch, but it may be happening at other area schools, as well.

As a result, many schools in the Manalapan-Englishtown school district have now installed motion-sensing roof-mounted security cameras, which automatically contact the police department when motion is detected.
