Large Amount Of Pot Found On Manalapan Man

The Manalapan man had more than five pounds of marijuana in his car, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Officers with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office executed a search warrant on a Manalapan man on May 24 and found more than five pounds of marijuana on him, the prosecutor's office said.

Brandon Dorta, 39, of Gordon Corners Road, was arrested in Manalapan Township. Officers with the prosecutor's office said they found him with more than five pounds of marijuana and less than 25 pounds. All the pot was in his car. Police charged him with intending to sell the drug.

This was a special operation led by the prosecutor's office, and not the Manalapan police.
