Loaded Handgun Stolen In Manalapan: Police

The loaded handgun was stolen from an 81-year-old Manalapan man, according to police.

A loaded handgun was stolen out of the home of an 81-year-old Manalapan resident, according to the township's police blotter.

The handgun, valued around $300, went missing while the man was having new windows installed. He told police it went missing sometime between 11:30 PM Aug. 30 and 11:30 PM Sept 2. It was reported missing just before noon on Sept. 3, police said.

There was no information available about what the person in possession of the handgun might look like. Manalapan Police ask anyone with information to call police headquarters at 732-446-4300. You can also submit a confidential tip online.
