Lucky Lottery Ticket Sold In Manalapan

MANALAPAN, NJ — In a bit of lottery "trickle-down" economics, part of that big $1.28 billion Mega Millions win in Illinois last week included some winners of smaller amounts, including here in Manalapan.

One Illinois ticket matched all five of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $1.28 billion Mega Millions jackpot. The estimated cash value was $780.5 million.

But there were 22 third-tier prizewinning tickets sold in New Jersey for the Friday, July 29, drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.

Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $20,000.

But a ticket sold in Manalapan was lucky enough to win $10,000.

That ticket was sold at Quick Chek #178, 270 Monmouth Road in Manalapan.

There was another $10,000 winning ticket sold in Monmouth County. This was at the 7-Eleven, 198 Broad St., Keyport.

In addition to the third-tier prizes won, 402 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Thirty-seven of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,000. Moreover, 666,461 other New Jersey players took home $2,502,780 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400. The winning numbers for the Friday, July 29, drawing were: 13, 36, 45, 57, and 67. The Gold Mega Ball was 14, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
