Mailbox Bashing In Manalapan And More
A fight broke out in the Knob Hill pool parking lot and teens tried to break into cars on Yates Road, police said. The blotter:

MANALAPAN, NJ — An incident of mailbox bashing occurred over the weekend on Gordon's Corner Road, and more from the latest Manalapan police blotter:
Criminal Mischief
On Sunday, August 6, at approximately 2:09 a.m., an unknown passerby on Gordon’s Corner Road reported observing several damaged mailboxes in the roadway. Upon arrival, it was discovered that six mailboxes belonging to six different residents along Gordon’s Corner Road had been intentionally damaged by unknown actor(s). If anyone has information in reference to this investigation they are encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman Sean McCarthy investigated the incident.

Criminal Mischief
On Sunday, August 6 at approximately 1:49 a.m., Patrolman Eric Voorand responded to Gordon’s Corner Road for a report of a rock that was thrown at a vehicle. A 19-year old Marlboro resident reported being involved in a verbal argument with a 29-year-old Manalapan resident and during that argument objects were thrown and one of the vehicles was damaged.
Simple Assault
On Saturday, August 5 at approximately 5:00 p.m., patrols responded to the Knob Hill community pool parking lot in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival Patrolman Bart Mattaliano met with a 19-year-old Manalapan resident who reported that he was the victim of a simple assault. The victim reports that several unknown male suspects struck him in his head during an unprovoked physical altercation. The victim displayed minor injury to his head and declined medical attention.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle/Obstructing Administration of Law
On Saturday, August 5 at approximately 1:10 a.m., patrols responded to Yates Road for a report of three juveniles in the area attempting to enter parked vehicles. While canvassing the area, patrols observed a male walking along a Rt. 33 business who fit the description of one of the suspects. When patrols attempted to make contact with the suspect he fled on foot. After a foot pursuit ensued the male suspect was apprehended by patrols. The male juvenile was placed under arrest for burglary and obstructing administration of law. Any
additional individuals who believe that they could be the victim of vehicle burglaries in the area of Yates Road in Manalapan Township are encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman Dennis O’Brien and Patrolman Sean McCarthy handled the investigation with the assistance of Detective Dominick Donatelli.
Theft of Property
On Sunday, August 6 at approximately 4:18 p.m., Patrolman Christopher Makwinski responded to the Wegman’s Supermarket located at 55 Rt. 9 in Manalapan for a report of stolen property. A 62-year-old Marlboro resident reported her wallet was stolen from her purse. The victim related she lost approximately $500.00 in cash and multiple credit cards. This case is pending further investigation.
