Man Arrested For Using Counterfeit $50 At Manalapan Wendy's: Police

The Newark Man was apprehended at the Freehold Raceway Mall, police say.

MANALAPAN, NJ-- A Newark man was arrested for using a counterfeit bill at a Manalapan Wendy's, police said.

Stephen Mcnair, 21, allegedly attempted to pay for $4.60 worth of food with a counterfeit $50 bill at the Route 9 Wendy's. Mcnair left the scene, and was later found at the Freehold Raceway Mall parking lot.

Additional counterfeit $50 bills were found on Mcnair. He was arrested and taken to the Manalapan Police department. He was released on a criminal summons and has a pending court date.

Patrolman Adam Sosnowski, K-9 Grim, and officers from the Freehold Township Police Department assisted in making the arrest.
