Man Injured in Manalapan Crash Monday Night
Wet roads caused a Monroe Township man to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a utility pole, police said.

Manalapan, NJ - A Monroe Township man was injured Monday night when he lost control of the car he was driving on Symmes Road and ran into a utility pole, Manalapan police said.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m., Lt. Kevin Dobbin said. As he was rounding the bend on Symmes Road at Barrister Lane, the driver lost control of his vehicle on the wet road, and ran up on a snowbank, ultimately hitting the pole.
The driver was transported by ambulance to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold for non-life threatening injuries, Dobbin said. His passenger, a Jamesburg woman, refused medical attention at the scene.

Symmes Road was shut down for half an hour Monday night as a result of the crash. No charges were filed in what is being ruled an accident.
