Man Selling Bogus Lottery Tickets At Manalapan Gas Station
Someone is approaching drivers at the Valero gas station on Rt. 9 in Manalapan and trying to sell them fake lottery tickets, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Be warned: Someone is approaching drivers at the Valero gas station on Rt. 9 in Manalapan and trying to sell them fraudulent lottery tickets, police said.
Last Monday, June 20, a man reported he stopped at that Valero station at 2:30 a.m. when he was approached by an unknown black man. The man presented a scratch-off New Jersey lottery ticket to sell with winnings of $20,000. The man claimed he did not have proper documentation to claim the winnings.
The victim purchased the ticket for $1,000 cash. The lottery ticket was determined to be fraudulent and did not have winnings of $20,000, police said. The man reported the incident to Manalapan Township police headquarters last Monday.
