Manalapan BOE Member Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen, 19
The accused, Joseph Tringali, 47, is a member of the Manalapan Board of Education and chaplain of the Manalapan-Englishtown First Aid squad.
MANALPAN, NJ — A man who is seen as a pillar of the Manalapan community was arrested earlier Thursday and charged with sexually assaulting a 19-year-old male over the Labor Day weekend, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
The accused, Joseph L. Tringali, 47, of Stratford Drive in Manalapan, is a member of the Manalapan Board of Education as well as a vice president and chaplain at the local first aid squad, the Manalapan-Englishtown Volunteer First Aid Squad.
He is also charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault. Tringali was arrested Thursday afternoon. This comes after what the county prosecutor called an "intensive" investigation by the Manalapan Township Police Department.

Tringali is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehol Township, and is scheduled for a first appearance on Friday.
If convicted he's facing up to 20 years. Further details of the allegation were not immediately available Thursday night.
