Manalapan Man Charged With DWI, 100+ Bags of Heroin Seized: Cops
Two men were found with over 100 bags of heroin in Mount Olive Township during a traffic stop, according to NJ State Police.
MANALAPAN, NJ – A Manalapan man driver was arrested by New Jersey State Police yesterday, with police seizing 110 bags of heroin during a traffic stop, according to officials. The seizure was a result of a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Mount Olive Township.
At approximately 12:11 a.m. on July 23, troopers from Netcong Station stopped Dante Desadario of Manalapan, NJ and Joseph Serpe of Staten Island, NY for a traffic violation. Desadario, 21, was determined to be driving under the influence and was subsequently arrested.
Upon further investigation, state troopers discovered Serpe, 37, was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Serpe was charged with possession of heroin, criminal under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Desadario was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Both men were released pending a court appearance.
