Manalapan Homeowner Shares Video Of Truck Plowing Down Mailbox

A Manalapan resident on Kimberly Court released this video Thursday showing a truck plowing into his mailbox ... and then driving away.

MANALAPAN, NJ — It's every suburban homeowner's pet peeve: A Manalapan resident on Kimberly Court released this video Thursday showing a truck plowing into his mailbox ... and then driving away.

"Does anyone recognize this truck? The colors of style? He just demolished my mailbox and took off," wrote Manalapan resident Thomas Graziano. The incident happened at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, when Graziano said he was at work and his wife was not home.

Graziano said he filed a police report about the incident and is eager to locate the truck. "A simple note and a phone number would have been acceptable. Things happen. I understand that. It's that the blatant disregard for the safety of others and the property damage is a bit tough to swallow," he told the Asbury Park Press.

This is hardly the first time trucks have carelessly plowed into Manalapan mailboxes: As Patch reported, a Thoreau Drive resident watched in shock last March as a snowplow flattened his mailbox behind Taylors Mills school during a nor'easter snowstorm. Manalapan Township later admitted plows took out anywhere from 50 to 75 mailboxes during the storm. Related: VIDEO: Snowplows Take Out 75 Mailboxes in New Jersey Town
