Manalapan Man, 26, Charged With Luring Boys Online

A Manalapan man who worked at a Freehold family amusement center was charged Wednesday with posing as a teen girl and luring boys online.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A Manalapan, New Jersey man who was previously employed by a family amusement center in Freehold was arrested Wednesday for allegedly posing as a 17-year-old girl and luring underage boys online, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

This is actually the second arrest for Angelo Curato, 26. As Patch reported last year, he was arrested in June of 2017 when detectives with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office raided his Eliot Road home and found child porn on his computer.

Federal prosecutors would not say the name of the family amusement center in Freehold where he worked.

But they say that in his latest arrest, Curato used Skype to interact with dozens of boys while pretending to be a 17-year-old girl. During these online communications, Curato received naked pictures of the children and watched them engage in sexually explicit conduct on video, police said.

Last year, on June 2, 2017, county detectives executed a search warrant at Curato’s home. A forensic review of Curato’s laptop revealed hundreds of sexually explicit chat messages on his Skype accounts and hundreds of screenshots of boys engaging in sexually explicit conduct, police said.
