A stabbing, egg-throwing, and a dryer fire were among the incidents investigated recently by Manalapan police.

Manalapan police recently investigated a stabbing outside a local store, egg-throwing, and a dryer fire.

According to a news release from Deputy Chief Michael Fountain:

Around 11 a.m. April 4, firefighters were called to the Covered Bridge retirement community for a dryer fire at the home of an 83-year-old woman. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which caused minor property damage. A dryer vent packed with lint caused the fire. The first-aid squad responded as a precaution. Patrolman Morgan Joiner handled the incident.

Around 11:50 a.m. April 3, officers were called to McCaffery Road for a report of an assault. During the investigation, Edward Kondracki, 51, of Old Bridge, interfered with police. Kondracki was charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer and criminal mischief. Patrolman Edward Hedden made the arrest.

Shortly after 10 a.m. April 2, Patrolman Grant and Patrolman Morgan Joiner responded to Arrowood Road for a report of a landlord–tenant dispute. Upon arrival, patrols met with a 57-year-old Freehold Township woman who said she was assaulted by a 68-year-old Manalapan man. Joiner handled the report.

On March 31, around 10:40 p.m., three Manalapan residents arrived at police headquarters to report harassment. They reported that two male suspects in a gray BMW threw eggs at their vehicles on March 30, around 3:30 a.m. Patrolman Matt Porricelli is handling the investigation.

Around 5 p.m. March 30, Patrolman Adam Sosnowski was called to the Verizon Wireless Store by someone reporting that an intoxicated woman had just driven to the store. Lorraine Riegert, 51, of Manalapan, was issued three motor vehicle summonses, charging her with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving while suspended. She was released after processing.

Around 3:10 p.m. March 30, Sgt. Freeman, and Patrolmen Christopher Makwinski and Christopher Oleksy responded to a reported stabbing. The victim, an 18-year-old Manalapan man, reported that an unknown Hispanic man in his 40s, who wore a white t- shirt and blue jeans approached him at the Wawa on Woodward Road. An altercation ensued and the victim suffered a laceration to the abdomen. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Manalapan Township Police Department at (732) 446-4300.
