Manalapan police arrested a man who they say broke into a Route 9 deli and stole cash. That case was among those recently investigated by police.

At 4:58 p.m. a 68-year-old Manalapan resident told police someone dumped oil onto her flowers outside of her residence sometime that afternoon. The incident remains under investigation. Officer Brian Cruse took the report.

At 4:45 p.m., a 29-year-old Manalapan man reported that between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. multiple items totaling $2,800 in value were taken from the common area of his condominium building. The case is pending further investigation. Officer Matthew Mattia handled the incident.

June 18

At 6:30 p.m. two 20-year-old Freehold Township residents - a man and woman -- went to headquarters and reported a theft. Both said that while getting a massage at a salon in Manalapan, a total of $130 was removed from their belongings, which were left in the salon locker room. The investigation is ongoing.

June 17

At 9:23 a.m. a 43-year-old Manalapan man reported fraudulent charges to his TD Bank ATM Visa debt card. Charges were made in California and Florida, totaling $1,215. Officer Ross Dessel is handling the initial investigation.

June 16

Around 5 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan woman reported fraudulent charges to her Santander Bank account. The charges were made in two separate New Jersey locations on the same date, totaling approximately $937.45. Anyone who has been the victim of similar fraudulent activity, or has any information about the incident is asked to contact police. Officer Christopher Oleksy is handling the initial investigation.

A 32-year-old Manalapan man reported fraudulent charges to his TD Bank VISA Bank Card. The charges were in excess of $100 and were reportedly made once in state, and twice out of state (Ohio and Illinois). Anyone who has been the victim of similar fraudulent activity, or has any information about the incident is asked to contact police. Officer Morgan Joiner is handled the initial investigation.

June 15

Around 8 a.m., patrol units responded to the report of a burglary at Donny’s Deli located at 339 Route 9 south in Manalapan because the glass to the front door was shattered and $500 in cash was reported to have been taken from the register. On June 16, around 1:30 p.m., 24-year-old Jonathan Barjudinas of Manalapan was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and theft as a result of the investigation into the burglary. Bail for Barjudinas was set at $30,000 and he was sent to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township. Barjudinas also had a warrant for his arrest from the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Detectives Ken Mikulik and Jared Aronson handled the investigation.
