MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests and incidents:
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, April 8, 2019, at approximately 10:00am, the New Jersey State Police turned over Elmer J. Boyce, a 37-year-old male, married, laborer and a resident of East Stroudsburg, PA. Mr. Boyce had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Boyce was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of bail. Patrolman Anthony Cascella was the arresting officer.
Vandalism
On Sunday, April 7, 2019, at approximately 6:37pm, patrols responded to a residence on Elizabeth Place in reference to a report of vandalism. The victim, a 19-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, advised that between the hours of and 12:45pm and 5pm on Sunday April 7, 2019, an unknown subject damaged the rear bumper of his vehicle by cutting it with an unknown device. The repair of the damage was estimated to cost approximately $300. Patrolman James Joiner was the responding and reporting officer.

Theft of Wallet
On Sunday, April 7, 2019, at approximately 3:40pm, the victim, a 24-year-old Newark, NJ resident reported that her wallet was stolen out of her stroller while she was shopping throughout the Englishtown Auction. The wallet contained $1,000.00 cash and the victim’s credit cards and driver’s license. Patrolman Kyle Earley was the responding and reporting officer.
Vandalism
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, at approximately 4:45am, patrols responded to a residence on Forest Drive in reference to the report of Vandalism. The victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between the hours of 11:00pm on Friday April 5, 2019 and 4:45am on Saturday April 6, 2019, an unknown actor had thrown eggs at his property and vehicle. Patrolman Jared Coupland was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, April 5, 2019, at approximately 12:54 pm, Levan Rizhamadze, a 27-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Brooklyn, NY turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Rizhamadze was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Vandalism
On Friday, April 5, 2019, at approximately 11:00am, patrols responded to a residence on Ronald Court in reference to the report of Vandalism. The victim, a 24-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between the hours of 3:00pm on Thursday April 4, 2019 and 10:30am on Friday April, 5, 2019, an unknown actor had damaged the victim’s vehicle by scratching the paint on both the driver and passenger side doors. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the responding and the reporting officer.
Structure Fire
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, at approximately 8:50pm, patrols responded to a residence on McCaffery Road for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, a barn located on the property was fully engulfed in flames. The Manalapan Fire Department along with the assistance of the Englishtown, Howell, and Millstone Fire Departments arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries to any people or animals reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office and the police department. The incident was handled by Patrolman Sean McCarthy and is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, at approximately 5:30pm, the victim, a 48-year-old Marlboro, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim reported that on Thursday April 4, 2018 at approximately 12:45pm, four credit cards were stolen from the victim’s purse while dining at a restaurant on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ. The victim was alerted by her credit card companies that her cards were allegedly fraudulently used to make purchases at two businesses in neighboring jurisdictions. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, at approximately 10:00am, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Michael Haley, a 60-year-old male, divorced, retired and resident of Howell, NJ was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Woodbridge Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Haley was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released without bail as per the Woodbridge Municipal Court. Patrolman Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at approximately 6:15pm, the victim, a 28-year-old Morris Plains, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on Saturday, March 30, 2019, an unknown actor utilized the victim’s personal information to open a department store credit card on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ. An unauthorized purchase in the amount of $35.46 was made using the fraudulent credit card. The incident was handled by Patrolman Matthew Meyler and is pending further investigation.
Vandalism/Criminal Mischief
On Monday, April 1, 2019, at approximately 10:15am, a 73-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of vandalism. The victim advised that on Sunday March 31, 2019, between the hours of 12:00am and 8:00am, an unknown actor dented and damaged the victim’s mailbox located at a residence on Eliot Road. Patrolman James Joiner was the responding officer.
Counterfeit Currency
On Monday, April 1, 2019, at approximately 12:43am, patrols responded to a business located on Union Hill Road for a report of counterfeit currency. An employee of the business related that on Monday, April 1, 2019, at approximately 12:00am, an unknown female actor made a purchase using a counterfeit $100.00 bill. The actor then fled the area prior to the employee realizing that the bill was fraudulent. Patrolman Brian Cruse was the responding and the investigating
officer.
