Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, April 8, 2018, at approximately 4:55 p.m., Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop on Sobechko Road. The driver of the vehicle, Jonathan L. DeCarvalho, a 30-year-old single male from Parlin, NJ, who is self-employed, was found to have an active criminal warrant out of Old Bridge Township in the amount of $500. DeCarvalho was arrested, transported to headquarters, where he was processed and released upon posting cash bail.

On Sunday, April 8, 2018, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 9 North near Gordon’s Corner Road. The driver identified as Richard Jones, 50-year-old, divorced, white, male resident of Keyport, unemployed, was found to have a warrant for his arrest from Union Beach Municipal Court for $130. Subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing, and was released after posting bail in full. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Alton Williams, Jr., a 52-year-old, married, male resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a forklift operator, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Freehold Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $715, after patrols had responded to a Rudyard Drive residence regarding an unrelated incident. Mr. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters. He was processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike made the arrest.

Shoplifting
On Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 12:20 p.m., loss-prevention employees of the Wegman’s Supermarket, located at 55 Rt. 9 in Manalapan, reported a shoplifting incident. Ian Thompson, a 43-year-old, married, male resident of Freehold, who is employed as an operations director, was observed by store security attempting to leave the store with $298.21 worth of merchandise without rendering payment. Mr. Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued a summons. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky made the arrest.
Credit Card Fraud
On Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 9:34 a.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) utilized the victim’s credit card on March 30, 2018 without authorization to make an online purchase in the amount of $212.99. Patrolman Joseph Defilippis took the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, April 6, 2018 at 4:50 p.m., Gina DeCastro, a 28-year-old, unmarried, female resident of East Windsor, who is employed as food server, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $240. Ms. DeCastro was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski handled the arrest.

On Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3:58 p.m., Miguel Rojas, a 45-year-old, married, male resident of Woodside NY, who is employed as a driver, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $300. Mr. Rojas processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski handled the arrest.

On Friday, April 6, 2018, at approximately 2:28 p.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 33 in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as James Schmidt Jr., a 40-year- old, married, male resident of Williamstown, who is employed as a contractor, was found to have four warrants issued for his arrest by the Monroe Township Municipal Court totaling $4,558 and one warrant issued for his arrest by the Mantua Joint Municipal Court in the amount of $1,003. Mr. Schmidt was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Monroe Township Police Department lieu of bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.
Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Thursday, April 5, 2018, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 9 in Manalapan. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joshua Tucker, a 26-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Fort Washington, MD, who is employed as a valet, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Tucker was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
Harassment
On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at approximately 7:48 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan resident reported she was receiving harassing letters in the mail from an unknown actor. The reporting party was unable to identify the sender of the letters. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski took the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at approximately 11:36 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 33 in Manalapan Township for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Sean Albanese, a 39-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of York, PA, who is employed as an equipment operator, was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Mount Olive Township Municipal Court each in the amount of $250. Mr. Albanese was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the arrest.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at approximately 10:28 a.m., Michael Pierce, a 27- year-old, unmarried, male resident of Forked River, who is employed as a nurse, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal
Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Pierce was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the arrest.
Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at approximately 10:59 a.m., Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Towne Point shopping center, located at 357 Rt. 9 in Manalapan. The driver, a 28-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female resident of Perrineville, NJ, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued summonses. Her charges were later dismissed.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at approximately 12:54 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Smithburg Road in Manalapan Township for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Kelly Goddard, a 25- year-old, unmarried, female resident of Monroe Township, who is employed as a cashier, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the South Brunswick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $400. Ms. Goddard was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the arrest.

On Monday, April 2, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., David Nedo, a 37-year-old, unemployed, unmarried, male resident of Kennilon, NJ, was placed under arrest at the Middlesex County Correctional Institution by Patrolman Kyle Williams regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Mr. Nedo was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams made the arrest.
Theft/Forgery
On Monday, April 2, 2018, at 2:02 p.m., a 43-year-old resident of Manalapan responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that on March 28, 2018, unknown actor(s) utilized the victim’s personal checking account number resulting in a $4,500 loss. Patrolman Joseph Defilippis took the report.
